King Park

Located in the heart of Downtown Jamaica, this 11-acre park is on the former farm of Rufus King, a framer of the U.S. Constitution and outspoken opponent of slavery. The park surrounds the King Manor Museum and contains a playground, a children's mist pool, handball and basketball courts, winding paths, and a multi-purpose turf field for outdoor recreation, sports and concerts.

Greater Jamaica Development Corporation has recently provided FREE public wireless internet in Rufus King Park.To better enhance the park experience, chairs and tables have also been set up on the lawn in front of King Manor Museum.

How to connect by Wi-Fi:

  • Insert a Wi-Fi card or switch on wireless capability,
  • Select King Park Free Wi-Fi via the Wi-Fi signal icon in your system tray and connect,
  • Open your web browser and King Park Free Wi-Fi login page will appear. Read the terms of agreement and click on connect to Internet on the bottom of the page. Surf the Web!
