A 500,000 square-foot, “Class A” office tower is planned on a site directly across the street from the AirTrain Terminal. With direct, quick access to both JFK and Midtown Manhattan, employers will find that the easy commute to Jamaica, along with its active retail corridor and ample parking, will make Downtown Jamaica a popular choice with employees. Millions of potential employees have access to Jamaica through mass transportation—both the Long Island Railroad and New York City Transit—making Jamaica central to a skilled well-educated labor force. A little known fact: There is a larger population of college-educated workers within 45 minutes of Jamaica than either Wall Street or White Plains.
